Coil Tippers are an all in one solution for the positioning of coils. We offer the ability to tilt 90° horizontally and vertically, and an added function of 180° rotation. With capacities at hundreds of thousands of pounds, our Coil Car offers an easy solution to the transportation of coils, ultimately eliminating the need for an overhead crane or rail-based systems. As an all-electric battery powered unit, the Coil Car operates independently from the rest of your production line - allowing the operator to use it whenever and wherever they need to.

Coil Tippers have the ability to load steel coils onto pallets, making them ready to be taken away and put into storage, transported to be used in manufacturing, or sent off to be shipped.

Once the steel coils are tipped into position, Hedin USA’s Coil Cars can be driven to pick up coils up to 55,000 lbs., either by steering handle, RF, controller, ride-along controlled, or operated by AGV technology, and transport them throughout the facility.

Instead of using overhead crane systems that can be dangerous to operate around workers, the Coil Tipper positions the coils and allows them to be picked up by a Coil Car, completely eliminating the need to use over head cranes and risk work safety.
