You know you need an AGV, but how should it operate? Line following? Cameras? Sensors? Wired Navigation? There’s quite the array of options to choose from, so let’s break them down and compare them to help you make an informed decision.

Common Controls

Line Following

There are two main variations of line following AGV controls - in-ground wire following, or following a painted or tape line on the floor. It's important to choose the right one, as the in-ground wire is more permanent than a painted or tape line that can be easily moved.

Cameras / Contour

The SoftVision camera system features object detection, load location, and area control, all of which offer exceptional safety capabilities and control over areas by use of a multiple camera array.

Laser

Depending on your project's budget and facility's setting and conditions, we will recommend a battery for you. However, if you're set on using a certain type of battery, we'll work with you to meet your needs.
